A Post that Never got Published

Back in April, 2013, I worked on a post that I never published, for some reason.
I look back at it, and it's almost surreal :) Nothing much has changed since then, except that...too much has changed!

I love how it has references to almost everything that's special to me in my life even right now, especially the friends and the places! So, here it goes:

10 Things I did Last Month

1. Spent some time with my pet cat, and my camera.

2. Designed and made this DIY lantern with some steel wire and post-it notes. Mood lighting for my room!

3. Did a photoshoot on the building terracce.

4.Spent some time in our vacation home with family.

5.Welcomed in the bright sunshine. Hola Summer!

6.Excitedly received this parcel from Precious You, I won a giveaway at The Fashion Flite! Everything about it was beautiful, the earrings, the package, and the cute little note!

7. Went for a lunch date in town.

 8. Reminisced about old friends. Dug out old pictures and edited them...I'm an obsessive compulsive photo editor, by the way.

9.Grabbed a coffee at the newly opened Starbucks with a friend. I love the way Starbucks in India has a whole new luxury brand identity, as opposed to the regular-street-corner-cofeeshop look abroad

10. Booked tickets to this place. I'm going next week to attend a dear friend's wedding! So excited, have to get busy planning some Indian traditional outfits soon!

Hope you'll had a lovely week!

New York Diary

Two Loves. Theater and Shoes.

I know the ordeal of having to look at other people's travel pictures. But I am travelling, so you'll have to grin and bear it. Its all about the reciprocation, you know!  So far, I have been to the glitziest place in the world-Yes, I'm talking about Times Square! Somewhere deep down there is a joy in having a hundred LCDs flashing colourful advertisements at you, and all in all, I would say the experience was..overwhelming? But the stores there were good. Really good.

Im crazy about the houndstooth pattern this winter!

Streaming Sunlight

Complete coincidence that these two walked past.

More Streaming Sunlight-Do you know how good the bright sun feels on a cold winter day?

Challenge: Spot my favourite store.

Your's truly, too pink in her opinion.

Street Art on Broadway
These are actually clocks, looked really cute with the tails of all kitties and doggies wagging in unison!

These pictures are a mix between urban landscapes, trees with pretty leaves, and peoplewatching. I have here, 14 out of 100, so yes, you are welcome:P

The trees against glass fronted skyscraper-I see an interesting pattern!

Blue

After all, when your'e travelling alone, the little pleasures of the day are the cup of coffee and a solitary place to rest your mind a little bit. Which is why after a chaotic half-day at Times Square, I headed out to Bryant Park on 5th Avenue. All the pictures with the leaves and trees are from there, by the way.

Any suggestions as to what I should see in NYC? I have an unlimited metro card at my disposal and lots of time on my hands!:)

Simplicity

I have had a very quiet week...been down with flu most of the time, reading a book called Enchantment (which I received as a birthday present, a must-read for all Audrey Hepburn fans out there), watching a few movies, and spending meow time with my pet cat!

Would you wear any accessories with this outfit? I definitely wouldn't. With a dress like that, I might even go barefoot!

It reminds me of the hush just after it has rained, with the raindrops still heavy on the leaves and flowers..

Ahh well. Happy Weekend People! :)

Shubhi!

Blowing Bubbles

Find pleasures in the little things-
Ice-cream in a cone;
Raking October's leaves;
Spending time alone.

Tossing pebbles in a stream-
Chasing rainbow's end;
Running through the morning grass;
Talking with a friend.

Find pleasures in the little things
For little things can bless.
They brighten up a weary day
And make your worries less.

This is another poem I found in a book of prayers, which you might have read about in this post..
Its simple, and from the heart!
Unfortunately I do not know who its by..
But there's a lot we can learn from it!:)

Shubhi!
