Me, I see art in everything. And fashion and art, when married together, create the most amazing and harmonious combination there has ever existed.

This post is a collections of digital paintings in a style I was experimenting with. I'm fascinated by lines, drawing them in a flowing style is a meditative experience for me! Add to it the amazing brushes offered by Paper, a new app, and there's a formula for endless joyful hours spent painting!

Fashion Meets Art

As you may already know, art combined with fashion is my one big inspiration.
And I would die for those shoes. The curved lines, the almost-sculptural quality of their design...*sigh*

Also, I am officially ready to welcome the gloriously hot Spring in India. Which means, that I have my sunscreen, dupattas, scarves, hats, and parasol ready.

So this is it, short and sweet, for today. Outfit post up sooon!

Style Spotting at Kala Ghoda

Kala Ghoda is the annual Art, Music and Literature fest held in Mumbai. I always miss visiting it, but this year, I firmly resolved to make time and explore it! And I was not disappointed. The overall atmosphere was colourful and carival-ish, with amazing street-art installations mostly made out of natural or recyclable materials..

But what caught my eye were the people themselves. Afterall, a creatively dressed person is a walking art installation! So I snapped a few candid street style photos....hope you like them! :)

I lovee how beautiful my city is! Well parts of it are, atleast. I can't wait to catch the musical events there, next year! I made a collage of all the textures captured at the festival, you can see it here..

Shubhi in Origami-Butterfly Land

This silk scarf is one treasure I own, which belonged to my dear grandmother. It is vintage and has a beautiful print! I'm always unsure of how to tie it around my neck however, I generally twist it quite bizarrely.

Fashion meets Art

Recently, I have been fascinated with how fashion and art merge together.
They are very much the same actually, both involve expressing your inner self. Early examples of art were limited to painting and sculpture. But with object and  installation art taking center stage, the definition of art and fashion have become almost interchangeable!


So go ahead, create works of art with what you wear.

Paris Dreams

Hello all my fellow fashionistas!
I'm happy today because I did something productive, art-wise!
I'v had this cylindrical container around in  my room for ages, and it just stood there all these years, carrying all my coloured craft papers for me!

Plain, un-pretty, and pretty much useless.

And so I painted on it the Symbol of Love-The Eiffel Tower! I'v always been a fan of Paris...spent long hours dreaming about the Fashion, the Art, the Croissants(More than the others-I'm a foodie before fashionista) and the quaint street-side cafes!

And out came the trusty bottle of black acryllic(From the t-shirt painting from

here )And a miniature model of the tower to refer from! More on the miniature coming up..

 So, do you like my paper-roll container?

I think about this thing and its amazing.

Probably every person who has been to Paris(Or hasn't-like me) has one of these miniature Eiffel towers at home...all mass produced little objects, in some factory back there!

Yet everyone gets them back home with a different memory in their heads...a different picture to relate it too..It means so differently to every different person!

For me, it was a gift. From a special friend who knew how much I adore

Paris, and how much I want to go there!

And so, old and dusty though it is, it means a lot to me:)

My Tree of Life

I'v always been fascinated by the Tree of Life design, and whenever I have to make a painting, it is this motif that first comes to mind!

So it was no different a case when I decided to make this one...to hang up in my room!

I painted the tree first...it looked all sinister! Then I added in the pastel background and the fleecy little clouds ;)

A few close ups...though I am no Van Gogh! (Who is my favourite painter by the way!)

The canvas is pretty large, about 2.5 by 4 feet, which is in fact the largest canvas I'v painted to date!
But it was totally fun, though it took a tad too long.


My room has always been warm-coloured, with reds, yellows and greens, and I suddenly found myself with this huge painting in cool pastel hues of pink and blue!

A quick change in my bedcover did the trick;)

It is lavender and pink polka dots, and the dots exchange colour with the background when reversed!
I think its supercute!

Playing with Fans!

Guess what I did all weekend?
Painted Hand Fans!

My dad got some plain paper hand fans years ago, from China...And I was struck with a sudden inspiration that I must paint them, and now!

 This blue one i painted a year back..

I really love the Tree of Life Pattern, so i played about with it yet again! On the pink fan..

And the Last one, I wanted to keep it simple, so just added some glitter triangles on green ink background!


Please tell me if you like them...I put them on my living room wall in rotation!
